An opportunity exists for a Business Analyst Lead to join the Computershare Technology Services' Global Development team at the global head office in Abbotsford. The position will be responsible for planning, organising, leading and managing a team of business analysts and testers
The Position.
This is an interesting and challenging role in which you will:
-Manage the team including staff performance appraisals, training and development, succession planning and recruitment.
-Prepare, maintain and monitor team's work schedule
-Ensure effective communication between the BAs, testers, development team and project stakeholders/BAs
-Coordinate testing phases including System Testing, User Acceptance Testing and Integration Testing where necessary
-Co-ordinate and assist with client training and software implementation
-Manage and monitor projects/tasks assigned to the team
-Perform BA activities if required:
-Liaise with clients to gather business requirements, and manage client expectations
-Liaise with development teams to create proposed solutions and associated documentation
-Document business requirements and functional specifications
-Reporting to the CORE Systems Development Manager, this position has a strong focus on leadership and BA mentoring.
The Candidate.
The successful candidate will have the following skills and attributes:
-Leadership & mentoring
-Extensive business analysis experience including as a senior/lead BA
-Project management
-Strong collaboration and negotiation skills
-Motivation to provide a quality service and deliver to deadlines
-Lateral thinker, with a broad outlook, solution oriented
-Ability to engage and communicate at all levels is essential
-Motivation to learn quickly and continually improve skills
-Experience both working independently and also in small project teams
-Ability to make critical decisions in the absence of senior management based on sound judgement
-Structured, methodical approach to problem solving
-Ability to work autonomously and be self-motivated
The following are advantageous:
-Knowledge of Employee Remuneration Schemes including Share Options, Share Registry, Workflow and Financial Systems concepts
-Experience leading a small team
