Inventory Manager
- Permanent Full Time Salaried Role

Currently we are looking to appoint the key role Inventory Controller to our Queensland Branch.
Reporting to the Brisbane Branch Manager, this role will be responsible for managing stock, lead times and budgets to meet branch requirements while providing professional customer service to both internal and external customers. Building key relationships with Internal & External Sales staff, National Operations, Branch Warehouse staff, all other branches and suppliers. Key duties and responsibilities will include:
- Actively manage stock levels to avoid stock outs
- Assist system generated ordering forecasts and manage min/max ordering stock cover levels
- Manage inventory levels to remain within stock budgets and inventory turns targets
- Manage purchasing requirement for the branch within required lead times to meet customer demands and maintain stock
- Support sales and marketing initiatives ie: Project Orders, Product quality issues, Promotions/Specials
- Prepare and maintain monthly reports and stock management reports
- Manage and approve inter-branch transfers to meet customers’ expectations
- Manage vendor lead times and supply issues to Sales team, management and other branches awaiting stock
- Negotiate with vendors to obtain better prices and deals and to ensure prompt delivery
- Assist with the implementation, management and improvement of ERP system
Ideally suiting individuals with an extensive background working in a similar role within Inventory Management, those offering experience within the metals, building construction and supply industry would be advantageous however those offering experience outside of the industry with exposure to computerised inventory systems with complex forecasting systems and high SKU count within a manufacturing setting are equally encouraged.
