Key Responsibilities:


*Develop detailed designs for building projects, covering layout plan drawing, connection detail drawing, material selection, section sizing, optimisation of construction methods, quality checking, and risk assessment.

*Undertake civil and structural design for various elements, including footings, retaining walls, wall braces, posts, structural beams, floor slabs, and roofs.

*Lead and manage projects from concept design to construction within budget and timelines.

*Collaborate with architects, project managers, builders, developers, and other stakeholders across disciplines.

*Cultivate a client-focused approach with responsiveness, on-time delivery, and professionalism.

*Mentor and develop junior engineers.

*Attend site inspections/meetings during the construction phase.


Requirements:


*Bachelor’s degree in civil/Structural Engineering from a recognized tertiary institution.

*3+ years of experience in civil or structural design.

*Full Driver's License.

*Membership with Engineers Australia.

*Experience in designing structures for high-end residential buildings, commercial buildings, and warehouses.

*Proficient in engineering design software tools, including Space Gass (essential), Structural Toolkit (essential), RAPT (advantageous), DRAIN (advantageous).

*Proficient in the use of AutoCAD.

*Strong ability to interpret Australian standards and building codes.
