Remuneration: ASO5 ($84,522 - $94,003 p.a.) + 11% Superannuation


Role Details:

The Department for Child Protection (DCP) is seeking a Licensing and Compliance Officer to join the Out of Home Care team on a full-time term basis.


The role is responsible for:


*Ensuring compliance with provisions of the Children and Young People (Safety) Act 2017, Children's Protection Act 1993, Work Health & Safety Act 2012, state and national standards of care and departmental policies. ยท Coordinating the review and improvement of DCP Licensing and Compliance Framework.

*Undertaking a thorough inspection and assessment of all requests for new Foster Care and Kinship Care Agency licenses and renewal of Foster Care and Kinship Care Agency licenses and Children Residential Facility licenses.

*Developing communication materials to assist with internal and external consultation on licensing business improvements.


About You:


To be considered for this role you will have experience in presenting complex issues and findings in writing, as well as the ability to identify issues, and relate and compare data from different sources.


You will also have sound interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to a range of key internal and external stake holders. 


Key to this role will be your ability to diagnose trends, obstacles and opportunities to inform policy.
