We are currently seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Bunbury office.
Reporting to the Location Manager, the Civil Engineer will be primarily responsible in providing consistent, sustainable and effective Civil Design for significant Civil, water/waste water and Transport projects ensuring successful project delivery. Development of strong project team relationships founded on performance and respect. Continuing improvement in capability and career progression.
1. Deliver discipline specific engineering services that meet WorleyParsons, its clients and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
2. Perform engineering assignments on projects that meet project requirements on time and within budget.
3. Perform discipline specific engineering services such as:
• identify and report changes to project scope;
• assist with the preparation of project documentation such as proposals, estimates, budgets and proposals and schedules;
• contribute to appropriate studies, analyses and recommend actions;
• assist with the preparation of detailed designs and drawings, specifications, data, calculations and reports;
• provide assistance during procurement, construction and commissioning activities.
• For example, write requisitions, conduct technical bid evaluations and write purchase orders.

4. Provide technical support and assistance within the discipline team and liaise with the project team.
5. If required, assist and support junior personnel within the discipline team.
6. Communicate effectively with the discipline team and project stakeholders.
7. Establish and maintain good working relationships within WorleyParsons, with its clients and other stakeholders.
8. Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance if required.
9. Keep up-to-date with the latest developments and technical innovations in the discipline.

Job Requirements
Essential skills/experience
• 3-5 years experience in design of major civil infrastructure projects is required.
• Specific design experience in Roads, or stormwater hydrology/hydraulics and/or water/wastewater.
• Experience with MRWA, WCWA & Local Authority, statutory procedures an advantage.
• A self-starter keen to work within a design team
• People from State Roads Authority or WCWA backgrounds will have a distinct advantage
• Demonstrated progress towards or attainment of Chartered Engineer status
• A commitment to Health and Safety in a project environment
• A commitment to quality systems through all phases of project delivery
• Experience with the estimation of engineering hours for projects
• Experience with construction contract site inspection will be an advantage
• Structural engineering experience will be an advantag
