AGL Torrens Island Power Station (TIPS) is the largest power station in South Australia and has a maximum output of 1280 MW. TIPS is located on Torrens Island, which is approximately 15 Kilometers north-west of Adelaide CBD. The site consists of two stations; Station A and Station B, each of these stations consists of four units, each unit generates electricity via natural gas boilers and condensing steam turbines.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Permit Authority to manage, lead, support and coordinate all personnel who have interaction with the Permit To Work system in a safe and efficient manner.
In this role, your key responsibilities will include;
• Providing a safe and cost effective isolation of generating units and auxiliaries
• Attending planning meetings as required to coordinate Permit to Work requests
• Auditing and maintaining the SURPASS plant register and Templates as required
• Leading a Permit to work team and providing technical guidance to support the team as required
• Ensuring prioritisation of work goals to meet the plans and strategies of the team and wider AGL Torrens site
• Maintaining the permit system with appropriate updates, auditing process and additions as per the Permit to Work policy
• Assisting in implementing initiatives as directed
• You will have demonstrated experience leading a Permit to Work team in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
• You will have strong time management and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities. Ideally, you will have experience using the SURPASS system and you will have a strong focus and commitment to safety in the workplace. In addition to this, you will demonstrate a strong commitment to process improvement and driving a positive work culture.
