Job Description
Makes recommendations and participates in the planning of construction operations. Makes decisions on the type and size of equipment to be used and manpower requirements.Supervises General Foremen on their daily activities. Supervises, directs, and designates work assignments to field Construction Engineers assigned to the area.Plans the sequence and number of construction activities to be placed in progress in the operational program.Maintains surveillance of labor performance, manpower allocation, and effective use of tools and equipment. Ensures the use of sound construction practices to attain required quality control at the maximum efficiency and minimum cost.Monitors subcontractor operations including enforcement of all contractual obligations. Initiates and obtains acceptance of appropriate backcharges to subcontractors.Understands and applies the Company labor relations policies.Completes other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Job Requirements
• BA/BS degree in related field or applicable discipline, or equivalent or relevant experience.
• Generally 7+ years experience in field;
• Typically 3+ years supervisory and/or management experience;
• Manages and directs work directly or through Supervisors or Professionals leading others.
• Characterized as implementing and directing programs and processes.
• Manages a single functional department within the organization, with daily operational responsibilities which may have global implications;
• Responsible for implementing and administering company policies and procedures in order to successfully achieve business objectives;
• Works with others to develop functional solutions to strategic organizational concerns and presents recommendations to functional department leadership;
• Staff development responsibilities;
• Acts as a key resource regarding area of responsibility;
• Able to lead others through effective management and leadership skills.
• Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Ability to provide input and solve difficult/specialized technical issues that require an extensive knowledge related to functional field;
• Solutions are derived from available resources provided internally and/or externally, including policies and procedures.
• The ability to effectively communicate through the preparation and presentation of complex program proposals and reports to senior level management is critical.
• Ability to understand and react with diverse groups and operations.
• Ability to persuade and influence others.
• Ability to recognize and resolve conflict.
• Commitment to customer service and ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Manages and directs work directly or through supervisors or professionals leading others Typically will interface with lower level personnel, upper level management, customers, and outside vendors.
