Based in our North Sydney office, we currently have an opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join our Commercial Services Team. The Commercial Manager will work with the sales teams to give important input into the negotiation and approval of contractual documentation for AGL's large business across NSW & QLD. You will work to minimise risk and maximise the commercial value of the deal to AGL, whilst understanding the impact on the customer experience.
As the Commercial Manager you will be responsible for but not limited to:
• Work with the sales teams and other stakeholders to analyse potential deals.
• Assist the sales teams in negotiating deals with customers.
• Recommend courses of action to key decision makers, based on achieving balanced risk/reward arrangements.
• Draft and review contracts, variations and amendments.
• Provide input into tender responses by indentifying legal issues and commercial issues for consideration.
• Contribute to reviews of standard terms and conditions for sales contracts in order to optimise the Customer experience as well as the commercial, risk management and process/system objectives for AGL.
• Ensure efficient and prudent processes are in place for contractual documentation across Commercial Deals.
You will be tertiary qualified with a Law Degree and have demonstrated experience in an in-house legal role within a large, corporate organisation. You will have a strong understanding of commercial law as you will act as a filter to AGL legal and provide some guidance in contractual matters to key stakeholders. In addition to this, you will be a strong team player and have the ability to communicate and build robust relationships with various stakeholders across the business.
