Anglicare Southern Queensland’s Metro South Community Services is growing, and we currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced community care professional to join our team as a Part Time Activities Coordinator, based in our new respite centre in Brisbane’s bayside area.
We’re looking for an energetic and experienced community care professional with qualifications in aged care, lifestyle and leisure or equivalent. You will have excellent organisational skills and the ability to communicate confidently, clearly and professionally, together with the ability to work effectively as part of a dynamic and collaborative team. You’ll have experience initiating, developing and delivering lifestyle programs, and the commitment to make a real contribution to our community services team.
In this varied role, you will coordinate lifestyle enhancement activities for our clients that support them in achieving their therapeutic goals. Working in consultation with the Lifestyle Lead and Respite Centre Coordinator, and participating within the Lifestyle team, you will design, implement and evaluate a plan of activities for clients that promote psychological, social, physical and spiritual well-being, and coordinate centre-based day care and out and about and wellbeing programs, ensuring activities are relevant and enable clients to participate in a variety of experiences.
You will also require a current unrestricted drivers’ licence, LR licence (or ability to acquire at own expense), and the ability to hold and maintain a National Police Certificate.
