Duties:
• Assist staff with day-to-day use of technology
• Support users to become skilled in basic troubleshooting
• Technical Support
• Deployment of software
• Imaging of Desktops and laptops
• Creating new User Accounts
• Experience in software and hardware applications as detailed below
• Assist with development of Computer Technology in the curriculum
• Assist with rollout of new equipment
• Assist with maintenance of network services, backups, network administration and security
• Assist staff and students with the following:
• Document printing issues
• Software enquiries
• Login errors
• General troubleshooting matters
• Data entry
• Reporting
• Basic training
Desirable / Preferable Skills;
• Good trouble shooting skills
• Strong work ethic
• Basic knowledge of Apple and Microsoft networking systems
• Sound organizational skills and time management
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
• Contribute to Helpdesk knowledge base
• Remote desktop-Experience with:
• MS XP, Win7, Server 2003/08
• SQL Servers
• Mac OSx. XServer
• Adobe suite
• Altiris
• Deploy Studio
• Shadow Protect
• MS Office 2007/08/10/11
• Strong communication skills – written and oral
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Own transportation
• Annual Leave: Four Weeks
