Duties:

• Directing assemblies and other special gatherings of students for events throughout the year.
• Developing emergency response plans for schools as required by state and federal education agencies. Filing reports and updating as required.
• Record keeping as required through the use of various logs, tracking records, computer programs, inter or intranet software or other programs.
• Working closely with the principal on a daily basis to ensure the smooth overall operation of the school.
• Supporting committees of staff and parent that function to improve the learning and social environment of the school for the students.
• Teaching classes, developing rapport with the students, handling discipline issues and filling in for the principal when required.
• Resolving conflicts between students, teachers, parents or combinations of conflicts between various individuals.
• Assisting in yearly teacher evaluations, assisting in providing guidance to staff and students, and encouraging a positive climate in the school.

• Have the ability to support the Principal in the domains of leadership in a Catholic School–Catholic Identity, Education, Community and Stewardship
• Be committed to working in an innovative, collaborative learning environment
• Capacity to manage effectively, human, financial and physical resources to deliver high quality outcomes;
• Capacity to use strategic thinking and analytical skills to contribute to the educational outcomes at the school level
• Demonstrated support for and the capacity to develop and maintain an organizational culture based on the Western Australian Bishops ‘Mandate for Catholic schools
• Sound knowledge of current educational theories and practices and a proven ability to both lead staff in professional learning and drive educational change;
• Demonstrate expertise in ICT and its applications for learning and teaching in classrooms
• Have a strong knowledge of current educational theories and practices to assist with the ongoing development of curriculum within a K‐12 Catholic school;
• Demonstrate success as a dynamic, innovative and reflective teaching practitioner who strives for excellence
