 When an emergency happens it is vital that we are able to start responding immediately. As an Act for
Peace Fundraising Coordinator you will be part of our emergency response team, providing life-saving funds when they are needed most.

Act for Peace is looking to expand its team of Emergency Fundraising Coordinators to raise money for humanitarian catastrophes. We would require you to work on a regular basis to ensure there are funds available for instant use when a crises occurs. You will also be required to be ready to fundraise in the days following a disastrous event.

This will involve organising collections in public spaces and other fundraising activities. The Act for Peace team will be on hand to offer training, help and advice every step of the way.

We are looking for individuals who can work from 1-10 hours a week for a 1 year period (with opportunity to extend).

What work will I be doing as an Emergency Fundraising Coordinator?
   
*You will have a vital role in responding to humanitarian crises by raising funds for Act for Peace’s emergency response work.
   
*This will involve making arrangements with local councils and organisations to arrange cash collections in public spaces and train stations.
   
*It will also involve organising small-scale fundraising events and activities.
   
*You will need to recruit and organise a group of volunteers to support you with your fundraising.
   
*Publicising fundraising and events.
   
*Promoting Act for Peace’s emergency response work and encouraging people within your local community to support Act for Peace.


What skills and attributes will I need to do this volunteer role?
   
*Passion and enthusiasm for responding to humanitarian crises.
   
*Trustworthy and reliable.
   
*Well organised, capable of coordinating fundraising events.
   
*Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to ask people to get involved.
   
*Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
   
*Over 18 years of age

*Your Development Officer will be on hand at all times to offer advice and support.

*The unique opportunity to develop existing skills and gain experience in fundraising.
   
Out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed where agreed.
