We are pleased to welcome applications for a number of unique roles on a new and significant Naval support contract at Garden Island in Sydney.

As a member of our team, you'll contribute to the support of a new, state-of-the-art military platform.  This is an excellent opportunity to join our growing Maritime business.

The position is accountable for:

• Acting as a single point of contact for all issues in relation to contract compliance
• Leading the resolution of contractual issues and disputes arising with suppliers
• Proactively managing the performance of suppliers to achieve the requirements of the contract (including costing and scheduling)
• Generating and managing procurement and subcontract management plans
• Ensuring adherence to contractual obligations through effective commercial management (including payments, claims, warranties, cash flow, flow down of contract amendments)
• Effectively managing variations to the subcontract to ensure impacts are minimised and communicated
• Ensuring that emerging risks are identified, costed, monitored and managed appropriately
• Ensuring that the project team achieves the required performance and objectives

To be successful in this position you will possess:

• Demonstrated problem solving skills with strong analytical and planning experience
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Prior experience within construction, shipbuilding or defence projects will be highly advantageous
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in procurement, commercial or engineering (MCIPS Accreditation will be highly regarded)
• Significant experience in subcontract and/or commercial management
• Substantial experience in the development and negotiation of complex contracts with major customers and suppliers
• Proven track record of successful delivery of major subcontracts obligations
• High level problem solving, negotiating and influencing skills

As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
