The Role:
This position is responsible for the investigation, assessment, reporting and development of conditions for complex applications requiring access to water resources within a politically-sensitive environment. Operating at a technical level, you will provide input, analysis and interpret water resource data to provide technical reports on water resource management. A key aspect of this role will be to provide specialist information and advice to clients, staff and other community and government partners on access to water resources, compliance requirements and licence conditions.

The Requirements:

·Demonstrated experience in the application of legislation, policies, procedures and other regulatory instruments relevant to regulatory frameworks.
·Comprehensive understanding and demonstrated practical experience relating to sustainable natural resource management.
·Sound knowledge of State and Federal Government water resource management frameworks.
·High-level oral/written communication skills and well-developed conflict resolution, negotiation and facilitate skills.
.Demonstrated ability to process and produce documentation to meet regulatory requirements.
·Proven ability to participate in a multi-disciplined team and demonstrated ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
·Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
