We are pleased to welcome applications for a number of unique roles on a new and significant Naval support contract at Garden Island in Sydney.
As a member of our team, you'll contribute to the support of a new, state-of-the-art military platform. This is an excellent opportunity to join our growing Maritime business.
The position is accountable for:
• Optimising corporate practices and procedures to suit the contract
• Developing relationships with internal and external customers to support the functional requirements of the business
• Leading a small technical team to manage and deliver engineering products and services
• Developing individual team members in accordance with personal and corporate goals whilst maintaining the overall technical capability
• Acting as the system technical authority for engineering products ensuring that they meet the defined requirements
• Developing and maintaining a positive culture and a motived technical team
• Developing and achieve extended resource planning for the technical team including securing new resources
To be successful in this position you will possess:
• Demonstrated experience in managing and exercising engineering governance and approvals
• Previous experience in fostering talent and managing a variety of skill levels
• Whilst not essential, previous experience developing and growing new business opportunities will be highly regarded.
• An appropriate degree level qualification (or higher) in engineering
• Extensive engineering experience including experience with leading technical teams through to project delivery
• High level problem solving skills, with strong analytical and planning experience
• Strong influencing and communication skills
As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
