Our Fast Jet Support team located in Newcastle, New South Wales, is seeking expressions of interest from experienced Structures Engineers in search of a challenging and diverse role. This is an opportunity to deploy your unique skill set within a fast paced and performance driven culture.

As the Structures Engineer you will design and develop structural systems to support the Hawk Lead-In-Fighter project. This role will also see you verify design artefacts, plan and coordinate designs and provide production support to ensure product delivery to schedule and cost goals.

You will be given the autonomy and breadth to thrive in this ever changing environment which will see you:

•Participate in peer review of drawings and calculations undertaken by team members
•Conduct safe designs and highlight any safety issues noticed in performance or functionality
•Manage structural tasks of assigned projects in accordance with budget, schedule and priority
Undertake structural optimised designs to meet project requirements and in accordance with applicable standards and design directives
•Conduct technical information review, determining the necessary action and embodiment implementation, including specification of design change to support the availability of the aircraft fleet
•Coordinate the structural efforts for the assigned projects and effectively utilise the expertise of senior/specialist engineers towards achieving efficient and economic structural solutions
•Incorporate post design changes as required from production department or the customer

To be considered for these rare opportunities, you will come equipped with:

•Significant experience in structural design development and review activities within in-service support of military aircraft
•Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering with demonstrated professional competencies to satisfy the entry requirements for membership of a relevant Engineering Institution, or equivalent professional experience
.The ability to work to deadlines with a flexible determined and resourceful approach to work
•Well-developed customer service skills and an active approach to tasks and problem resolution
•Demonstrated ability to contribute and work in a cross-function team while ensuring specific responsibilities are achieved

International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
