Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic, self motivated team player to work at our Mornington office to provide service coordination and administration support to management and care management teams.
We are seeking a dynamic, self motivated team player to work at our Mornington office to provide service coordination and administration support to management and care management teams. Brotherhood Community Care supports people with complex physical and/or psychological needs to live in the community by providing care management and support services. The program aims to support frail older vulnerable people, younger people with a disability and those with complex support needs.

ThIS is a full time position Monday to Friday 9am-5pm (6 month maximum appointment).

Key duties and responsibilities include:

• Preparation of service request documentation in liaison with consumers and service providers in relation to new services and service changes.
• Process claims to Department of Health and Ageing on a monthly basis. This includes other associated funding.
• Data entry of referrals, assessments and acceptances and continual development of the administration processes relating to them.
• Provide day to day administrative support to Brotherhood Community Care management team including telephone answering, petty cash, mail, purchase orders, stationery etc

To meet the Key Selection Criteria the successful applicant must have:

• A high degree of professionalism and well developed interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to advise and liaise across all levels of the organisation internally and externally.
• The ability to be sensitive to the needs of people from different economic, social and cultural backgrounds and those with complex conditions.
• Ability to work as a member of a team.
• Current Victorian Driver’s Licence.
• Knowledge of Consumer Directed Care, Person Centred Care and the Active Service Model with experience in the Aged Care and/or the Disability Sector highly desirable.
• Excellent skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Experience using database software, preferably TCM (but not essential as training will be provided).
• Experience in working with accounts and the ability to reconcile accounts.
• Demonstrated experience and achievement in the provision of a broad range of administration duties and significant experience in the operation and maintenance of general office equipment.
