Background Information:
We currently have an opportunity for an energetic individual with a passion for safety to join the Processing Maintenance Analysis & Improvement Team on a permanent basis as a BALL Facilitator.  Responsible for providing health and safety expertise relating to the Behaviour Based Safety Program (Be Aware Live Longer) and behavioural safety across the site, your actions will contribute to achievement of our target of Zero Harm.

Leading by example, you will be responsible for:

•Training and mentoring new and existing BALL observers and collating data from recorded observations;
•Providing ideas and advice in regards to BALL initiatives, BALL coaching, incident prevention (linking leading and lagging indicators) and BALL barriers;
•Providing services and systems support to managers and employees to ensure the optimal achievement of BALL KPIs; and
•Providing relevant information for discussion along with analysis of information to execute facilitation of proactive programs.

Please note this is a residential position, operating on a 5/2 roster arrangement.

Skills & Experience;

-Your commitment to safety will be paramount and you will have proven experience in taking action to improve conditions that affect employee safety and positively influence others in HSEC principles and behaviours. Proud of your excellent track record within a professional, administration or trades focused environment, your positive attitude, proactive nature and commitment to the promotion of BALL as a means to encourage safe behaviours, is critical for success in this position.
-Your passion for learning and willingness to be educated in BHP Billiton's systems and operational processes will be essential, and you will also share the site goal of Zero Harm. You will need to possess exceptional communication skills as you will be required to express, present and influence your ideas effectively to all levels within the business.
-Ideally you will hold a tertiary qualification within a relevant field and it is imperative that you have a high level of computer literacy with intermediate to advanced skills within the MS Office suite.

Located 560 kilometres north of Adelaide, South Australia, Olympic Dam is Australia's largest underground mine, incorporating a complex minerals processing operation, producing copper cathode, uranium oxide concentrate, gold and silver.
This role is based in Roxby Downs, a thriving community of 4,500 people, with the highest standard of infrastructure in roads, buildings and business facilities. An active and progressive administration and community network support it. Roxby Downs is home to a variety of modern, well equipped educational, health, sporting, leisure, shopping and cultural facilities.
