WSPA is known as a progressive international NGO determined to bring animals into the heart of the most pressing debates, and to prove the links between animal welfare and sustainable development.

The Role;

Reporting to the Head of Campaigns, you will lead the disaster management campaign in Australia. Through driving campaign strategy in line with agreed International and regional objectives, managing stakeholder relationships, overseeing research, analysing and writing policy, you will work to ensure animals are protected in disasters.

-Drive the stakeholder committee seeking to integrate animals into disaster management plans and policies
-Work with the communications and fundraising team to build support for protecting animals in disasters
-Provide support for other campaign areas as required

Skills Required;


You can demonstrate your success in strategic stakeholder engagement in an NGO or campaigns environment, including the following skills and experience:
-Sound understanding and experience working with or for government
-Demonstrable understanding of the policy development process and policy analysis skills
-Demonstrable knowledge of animal welfare issues within the Australian context
-Demonstrable experience in developing and maintaining relationships with government and other stakeholders

Desirable

Experience working with stakeholder committees

Qualifications;

Educated to a degree level or equivalent
