Join the Award Winning Procurement Team at Parmalat Australia - Brisbane or Melbourne Based Parmalat Australia Ltd with its fine stable of brands and winners of a CIPS Procurement Professional Category Award, has a rare opportunity for an exceptional individual to join their highly regarded Strategic Procurement team as a Category Manager, Directs. As an experienced professional you will be high calibre and ambitious (preferably MCIPS qualified, working towards MCIPS or with a demonstrated commitment to achieve MCIPS) with a good track record of developing and implementing strategic sourcing solutions demonstrating insightful commercial awareness.
Ideally you will be tertiary qualified with a degree in polymer science and have an understanding of the extrusion blow molding process, especially in the use of high density polyethylene, though candidates with a proven procurement track record in complementary categories will be considered. Your strengths will be strategic procurement, negotiation and strategy creation together with KPI development and implementation leading to continuous value chain improvement with HDPE & PET bottles, bottle caps and associated label categories. You will also have excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally.
Reporting to the Procurement Manager Ingredients & Packaging, you will have autonomy (or progressively take on autonomy) for leading sourcing activity and the management of several strategic critical contracts for Parmalat Australia. You will be responsible for a spend of approximately $80M and will own the full strategic sourcing cycle including stakeholder engagement, category strategy development and operational strategy delivery to benefit the business.
