Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide and interface between Finance and IT application users.
• Provide high quality support and training for users of financial information.
• Perform daily, weekly and monthly financial reconciliations and provide accurate and timely information.
• As a team member plan and implement changes in our financial systems.
• Work with both the finance and IT teams to ensure that good quality system process documentation is maintained.
• Add value to projects and enhance the quality of financial information.
• Improve system processes and support a culture of constant improvement.
• Identify opportunities to improve RACQ’s financial systems.

Essential:
Qualifications
• Bachelor degree in accounting
Experience:
• At least 5 years in roles requiring both accounting and IT skills
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
• High level financial literacy and problem solving skills
• Proven experience managing a high volume of financial transactions through complex integrated computer systems to deliver accurate results
• Proven experience working with complex and highly integrated financial systems
• Proven financial analysis and system management skills to successfully deliver change
• Proven ability to produce accurate reports from large volumes of financial data
• A strong knowledge of database functions, capabilities and concepts including the principles of design and efficiency
• Experienced in writing fluent, concise, accurate and technically correct business documents
Desirable
Qualifications
• Bachelor level IT degree or working toward
• Qualified CPA or CA or working toward
• Experience
• Experience with planning and implementing large computer system changes including a financial system
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Conceptual knowledge of relational database structures
• Ability to write and interpret database queries
