Job Description:
Dry Ice Environmental Cleaning (DIEC) Pty Ltd supplies cleaning services hourly and on contract basis, we also deal in machine sales and training plus dry ice supplies.
We are recruiting industrial cleaners for our Brisbane operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Front line industrial cleaning of the mechanical separation equipment using hand tools, compressed air, pressure washer (cleaning screen apertures, shredder cutting table, filters on compressors and optical sorts, cutting tape from bearings and rollers etc)
• Maintaining a high standard of cleaning/housekeeping of the static plant and pedestrian walkways/gantries at all times.
• Safe operation of mobile plant (cherry picker, scissor lift, skid steer loader)
• Co-operating with site management
• Working to health and safety, environmental other standards as they apply to the process, including the issuing of Permits to Work, Isoloc sheets etc
• Maintaining Standard Operating Procedures as required
• Working to the site critical control point plan
• Working to timescales and deadlines
• Learning the waste sorting and composting process and contributing to the success of the operation
• You may at times be required to carry out duties not shown in the outline job description above.
Person Requirements:
• Experience of working in an operation with quality and health and safety systems
• Experience of cleaning in an industrial environment
• Experience of using compressed air, pressure washer
• Undertaking routine maintenance tasks on mechanical equipment
• The ability to work in a team based environment
• Flexibility and willingness to be involved in all aspects of the operation
• A demonstrable period of plant operating experience with one or more of the following – cherry picker, scissor lift, skid steer loaders or other industrial equipment
• Must have white card, forklift licence
• Driver's license and licence for lifts.
• Minimum 3 yrs experience
