Fulham Correctional Centre is located in Sale in Victoria, some 200km east of Melbourne.
Fulham's primary role is to reduce reoffending through the delivery of programs prescribed in prisoner's case management plans, preparing them for resettlement into the community. A maximum capacity of 893 beds, Fulham provides an alternate campus design to traditional prison layout encouraging best practice rehabilitation philosophies and strategies.
Fulham Correctional Centre is operated by The GEO Group Australia P/L, which is a subsidiary of the US-based The GEO Group, Inc.
The GEO Group Australia is a leading provider of outsourced correctional and related services, managing (in addition to Fulham): Junee Correctional Centre, Arthur Gorrie CC in Brisbane, Parklea CC in Western Sydney as well as health care services across the Victorian prison network. GEO provides secure and humane containment of offenders as well as a range of innovative programs designed to break the "cycle of reoffending" and assist offenders to achieve a future free from crime. GEO prides itself on building "better corrections, safe communities".
This is a generalist HR role for the right person who is keen to expand their experience. You will report direct to the HR Manager, providing assistance and support where required. Your duties will include: maintaining and reviewing personnel and discipline records; assisting in OH&S and workcover administration; administering all recruitment activities for Fulham CC, including participation as a HR representative on panels and all aspects of recruitment administration. You will be responsible for the preparation of written correspondence, including drafting employment contracts.Other duties will also include support (back up) to the rosters officer, which involves liaison with all correctional staff in relation to their rosters (12 hour shifts 24/7). This may involve a shared capacity in relation to this role.
